1955 Oldsmobile 98

Hi

Just purchased a 1955 Olds 98 here in the UK.....can anybody point me in the direction of a good Web Forum where I can find like minded owners?

Anyone on here had a 1950's 98?

I had a 1956 Buick Century once. It was a nice car but was hard to get parts for.

But all that is different now. The classicoldsmobile site is about the best around and people there will go our of their way to help overseas owners.

I would also surf the Hemming's Motor News site for parts. The hardest thing to find seems to be anything that is vac operated as TRICO has not made parts for their window switches and wiper motors for years.

What a beaut! I love that color.

It's cool to see some of the other GM offerings from that era since the '55-'57 Chevy's get so much attention.

A friend in HS acquired a DELMONT 88, I think it was a 68 or 69. One of the dumbest model names I can recall. It ran pretty well, kind of a generic sedan, but the memory I have most is him flooring it at a bunch of pigeons that were grouped on the street and killing one that didn't take off quite fast enough. It broke one of his headlights and that was more feathers than one could count.

Tasted like chicken.
