washing tool kit bag

I don't think this belongs in tech help since its one of those stupid posts.

But I found my original tool kit with every tool in it, even the wheel alignment tool(thread in and slip the wheel on and bolt on with no issue)

the bag is kind of dirty and needs some fabric softener.. So is it wash like a regular cloth or should I hand wash it? I've got to bead blast some of the tools due to corrosion. But the most important tool in the kit is there, the convertible top manual operation wrench.

That and the jack still has the cardboard placard on how to use it attached to it. Very cool

If a toolbag doesn't smell springtime fresh, what good is it?

The earliest tool bag I've seen is from the '30s when they were made of sail cloth. always heavy cloth, easily washable.

The red and green ones had the part number stamped on them in indelible ink, so you may not want to bleach it too much.

Soaking it in Dawn is probably the best thing, since it will remove all dirt.

You couls also soak in biodiesel, then soak in Dawn.
