Yes it is occurring in my family. I beat my wife daily just so she doesn't step out of line. I find that it is best to keep her barefoot and pregnant.

On the off chance that this requires a serious answer (which I hope isn't the case) I understand that using violence to stop domestic violence tends not to work. Get some help - organisations that deal with this sort of problem often advertise in churches, police stations, and libraries.

Agreed, the police are normally required to remove the individual if there is any evidence of violence. Knowing that he will spend the night in jail should be enough of an incentive for most people to behave.

Not if the abused is too dumb to press charges. If the man is too scared because his buddies might laugh at him or the woman thinks she is better off with the guy than without.
