This is so sad !!
It just shows when all the razzmatazz is gone, we dont, as a society do a very good job of looking after those who have done so much for our freedom. Just throw them on the scrap heap & find some one else.

Yeah, those veterans are nothing but bums. The elitists can have a field day with them.

What about the other three in four? Im sorry, but we ALL make choices and there are PLENTY of support groups/shelters already catering to Vets. If they make the choice (and it is) to be homeless, so be it.

Heroin was dirt cheap in Viet Nam for American soldiers to buy, if they wanted to, in the war.
Same with really high grade marijuana.

Percentage of homeless among the general population is around 2%. You're saying vets make the choice to be homeless at greater that 10 times the general population. A mighty strong assertion. I suggest you go ask a few of them homeless vets if they decided to be homeless.

I think our country should spend less money on the military and more money on education in all its various forms. I believe this would benefit veteran and non-veteran alike.

A lot of mental illness - PTSD. Substance abuse goes hand-in-hand.

I did a paper on PTSD and from what I have read PTSD is seriously over diagnosed. Not saying some don't have it but those that are misdiagnosed are not being treated properly and the military health care system rewards disability.

Other than "X2" which simply agrees with Larry's sarcasm, what would you and your far right brethren propose to do about homeless veterans?
I'm quite curious, because on one hand, you have no use for those in need who don't work, but on the opposite hand, you support the military. So, you've got a bit of a dilemma here and I'd like to see how the far right would go with with this................ |
