2nd Crash Kills Lincoln man.

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Authorities say a 53-year-old Lincoln man died after crashing his car twice.

Lincoln police said Timothy Carroll died at a Lincoln hospital on Sunday.
Capt. Jim Davidsaver says Carroll drove his car into a ditch around 2:30 Sunday morning. Carroll drove back onto the road but soon lost control of the car again. It ran off the road and hit a traffic light pole.

Police don't believe Carroll had been drinking alcohol. The crash is still being investigated.

What kind of car.

A Kia Rio, (or some other Korean sardine can), *one* crash would of been enough, I know because I haunt the Foreign car junkyards, looking for Mercedes Benz W126 parts now and then, down in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley, and oh man, you should see ther Korean wrecked ones, after the insurance companies totalled them when they wrecked.

Just to save a couple of gallons of gasoline. Unbelievable. < shakes head >

I am willing to bet he had unknown damage from the first accident that caused the second.

The guy may have been snipe hunting, in which case would explain his first crash into a ditch @ 2:30 am Sunday.

The second snipe git him though, since that snipe turned into a traffic light pole when he crashed into it.

= he prolly had had a few cocktails just prior to the first TC, given the hour it happened, if the bars close at 2am in Nebraska, like they do in Cali.

Correct - the bars at least in Omaha, moved their closing time forward to 2:00 am ON the weekend where clocks were moved back one hour @ 2:00 am. This provided an extra hour of legal drinking in Omaha. (3:00 am in actual time spent open)

I agree, however I wouldn't have posted it unless it was reported in the cut 'n pasted article in the Omaha World-Herald on-line version (omaha.com)
