I have never run there. When I was working there I asked permission to do so on the apron but never was approved. They have an absolutely beautiful place for it. If we were to run there it would be the best facility I have seen.

thats interesting you guys have an "infield", we have only run on old runways and large lots (i.e. the sports complex lot). I think that would add a bit of fun to it.

Our rallyx courses were all over though, jumps, bumps, mud, tarmac, you name it.

You talking about Indy's infield?

There is a minor league baseball stadium in downtown Indy too.

I had a flash trip through the museum at almost closing time in about 1994 to burn some time before my flight. It was impressive to see everything that was in the infield. It seems like I saw where they have built a new museum or done a major remodel since then.

I have been to events that were run on the infield road track at Texas Motor Speedway and it gives you an idea just how much real estate is inside the track itself and it is smaller than Indy.

I'm not sure about any interior makeover but the exterior is pretty dumpy. It is made of those precast concrete panels that they tip up. I am hoping Penske will deal with that.

Oh, for some reason I had the impression that a new museum had been built. That said, tilt up buildings were popular at that point. Maybe it has been replaced in the last thirty years or so.

No it has not been replaced since the seventies.

I am preparing for an event in Walesboro just south of Columbus In on Sunday.

I have switched over to the rain tires in the hopes their soft compound will generate heat for grip. The weather forecast calls for high forties and rain. I'll be watching the weather forecast for sure.

Considering this I may want to shift over to the Cobra for Sunday.

I have topped the fuel and coolant and am hoping to get the oil changed too. It is not overly warm in my garage so working there is a bit tiring.

Today I aired the tires, softened the anti sway bars and damp washed it and spray waxed it. Now it is in the trailer ready to pull away Sunday Morning after returning from Ohio the night before.

Wooo Hoooo!

Pretty nice day today in Columbus IN. Didn't rain but the wind was pretty cold. I ran in the first group with my rain tires. They did not seem to give much grip. They felt pretty good until they would let go suddenly. I am pretty sure the slicks would have been better. Car ran perfectly all day. ldling like a stock honda!

Yes they did. I also adjusted tire pressures as the day went on. The tires started out in the high fifties f. and ended near 70 f. As a comparison last year they ran up to 120 or so which is not very hot.

Yeah, the 240 is a good handler just not much power to work with but that is half the challenge!
