Roger Penske's old Newell

Quite a nice machine I'd say. Someone will probably get a decent deal.

That's a white elephant of a coach. It's not worth very much if that. Although there's a buyer for everything at some price. Newell makes a very good coach if you need a 45' coach you can do a lot worse.

Like, totally 80's dude. I particularly like fold down orgy pit! :D

Certainly was quite the motorcoach...in its day.

Newell still makes great coaches. Like used MB diesels, they're a much better value used. I would have probably bought a '92 I fell in love with in 2000 at an aftermarket dealer's lot if it hadn't of already sold. It's waay more coach than most anybody needs anyway.

The fender skirts are about the ugliest thing I've seen on a bus. Seems overpriced to me.

How's about those aero-discs on the steering tires? :)

......I was being kind. in my first post.

Its ugly and dated.

The problem with motor homes is they get old fast, plus its got an old Detroit pushing it no thanks.

kerry 12-01-2010 04:12 PM

Did you notice that it said the Detroit had glow plugs. Haven't heard of that before.

Reminds me of Jeremy's truck from Top Gear:

That looks looks a 1940s locomotive.

The futurliner was the high seller at Barrett Jackson a couple years ago, I am surprised to see it up for sale so quickly. I would think it would be a long-term collector item

Gilly 12-02-2010 04:45 AM

The one on Barrett jackson opened up into sort of a GM display for use at fairs, had the light unit that raised up, etc. This one looks a lot like it but doesn't seem quite the same.
