Let's face it, there are countless inquiries on the Board which are like "I'm going to look at a
I've always been a bit amazed that we don't seem to have the "W124 FAQ" or the "W126 what to look for" thread or Wiki. Obviously we have thousands of threads related to issues and repairs for just about any model, but not one thread which covers everything about the model, facelifts or significant changes, and what to look for and/or check out when you are in the market for one of whatever model you seek. Any thoughts on this? Or does it already exist and I have not seen it ? (hope not!) Rgds, Chris W. 3 x W124

You're correct.
Many relevant buyers guides are out there. The problem is that they are spread all over the place and there is no universal format. Also some models really don't have one (Gwagens jump straight to mind) Here is a case in point http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=289089 Personally I think they should all be written like Jim Bs SEC buyers guide. http://www.mbcoupes.com/buyersguide/buyersguide.htm
