Concerted international effort to destroy Wikileaks - USA leading the way

Concerted international effort to destroy Wikileaks

-----------------------------------------------------------
It seems, as always, that transparency, democracy and freedom are all okay so long as one is never affected by them.

A concerted and rather disturbing effort is taking place to destroy Wikileaks at the moment.
Without any doubt whatsoever, promoted and pushed by the US and other Western governments:

- PayPal closes account so Wikileaks cannot get donations through it

- Visa and MasterCard suspend payments to them for same reason

- A Swiss bank freezes Wikileaks assets there

- Wikileaks founder Julian Assange arrested on chages of "sexual assault"; various countries including US trying to get him

This is one of the most repugnant, disgraceful and shameful acts I have ever seen.
It is okay to donate to the Ku Klux Klan on PayPal but not, it seems, to a whistle-blower website.
The Swiss are free to hold the wealth of nazis, drug dealers and mobsters, but decides Wikileaks is a step too far.

Assange is like some villian from a James Bond movie.

I suspect Assange's threatened "poison pill" might contain personal information on well known persons. I doubt he's gonna publish anything about me, or you. If he does, it just goes to show how secure our personal data is.

Its not about shutting down donations per se, its about destroying an organization performing treasonous acts against our government in time of war.

How insecure our personal data is!

One of my daughters worked for the largest privately held medical records companies in the world, a year or two ago the held a 25% market share here in the US and they are rapidly expanding in all the English speaking countries and Europe. I suspect that with the Obamacare digital record initiative they are probably doing better.

My kid was employed in the implementation troubleshooting unit, at any facility they serviced she had the ability to access every and any record in the system. They often accessed private information in a live setting to try to work out/around glitches that occurred. All of this is perfectly legal under HIPPA; there is an internal audit trail of who accesses what record under exactly what circumstances. The problem is that is all after the fact stuff, and you can't un-ring that bell! There is virtually no way to prevent an intentional breach of client confidentiality by the people that have access to the system, and there are many, many people who have access to the system and numerous levels, particularly in today’s health care environment, most facilities are part of a network, collaborative, or management umbrella organization. It is not unusual for three, four or more hospitals, a couple dozen clinics, and a couple hundred physician offices to be completely connected through a private network with thousands of nodes simultaneously connected to the internet.

There are IT workers with access at every organizational level. In a hospital the IT guys get dozens of calls like, Look at this it doing this and it’s supposed to be that. And every patient has probably 10 different medical record modules within which there is personal data, billing, pharmacy, out patient, doctor office, imaging, testing, qualitative care, it goes on and on.

And that’s not even mentioning the multitude of actual healthcare providers that access the personal data!

Again, find a dictionary and look up the word treason. Did congress declare war at some point when I wasn't paying attention?

Rule 1/ If its that confidential, dont put it on electronic or paper media.
Rule 2/ Always assume that anything that is transferred electronically will be hacked.
Rule 3/ Never let a third party be privy to anything that could embarrass you .

The DH's that are in the gov departments are that stupid they should be held accountable for leaving a traceable trail.
Its not Wickileaks that has done wrong. We are now seeing all the fat cats trying to cover their backsides. Its just a case of "I had a secret".
Politicians being caught looking after their mates & telling tales out of school.

To that I would add:
rule4 Expect the government to lie to other governments
to news media
to its own citizens
