Another computer question
 

How can i view two differant pages at the same time? If i click on a shortcut on the desktop then click maximize to make the page smaller,if i click on another shortcut it just covers the first page. I would like to view two pages at the same time.

Are you running Windows 7? You can hold down the windows key and press the left directional arrow, and it will lock that window to the left side of your monitor. Then for the other window, hold the windows key and press the right directional arrow, it will lock that window to the right of the screen. Windows key + up arrow maximizes the window again.

When i get the first window to the left,the next window opens on top of the first one,Whin i hold down the windows key and press the right arrow both windows move to the right.

Yeah it only works on Windows 7. Pity because it's probably the best feature MS has come up with for a while. It's great with a widescreen monitor too.

You should upgrade to Win 7 when you get the chance.

Like i said i could not get it to work on windows.

If the windows are in the "restore down" configuration............not maximized and not minimized............they can be resized by placing the cursor at the edge of the window and "squeezing" the window toward whatever direction you wish.

Also, the entire window can be moved by placing the cursor in the blue band with the title............left click and drag the window around the screen.

You can then get one window on the left side of the screen............click on the second window and then do the same thing and move it to the right side of the screen.

It's a PITA and it takes a couple of minutes but you can get what you wish.

Caveat: This is with Windows XP..........presume that it will also work on Vista.

Ok. This is what i did. I opened a shortcut window and clicked to Restor Down and draged it to the side of the screen. Then i clicked on another short and it took the place of the first page.

The first page should be about 1/2 the screen size. Just go up to the blue bar above the second page, click and drag it over to the opposite side of the screen away from the first page.

When i do that both pages move they do not sepperate.

That's strange...........never observed two pages moving together. The top page moves..........all other pages remain in place.

Is there a setting missing? I am sure i am doing what you said.

I don't believe so..........but Vista might be different than XP.
