Good. Saves us a few bucks after 18 years of service. Guess we got the better end of the deal.

If Obama is truly the President, the order was legal. If not, he would be right and the order illegal. Either way, not up to him to make decisions. He just didn't want to go. This was some trumped up excuse he could think of

In six months he will hit the speakers circuit and have right wingers lining up to see him.

Then comes a book and maybe a talk show. You will see a lot of him on Fox.

Palin figured this out and quit her job so she could cash in. If he had wanted to express his views he would be free to do so, but he had to have the PR before he could state getting paying gigs.

I wonder if he has an agent yet?

In your dreams, maybe. Why would anyone want to see somebody who avoided doing his duty? If his charge was true, he had channels to go thru, which I suspect shot his argument down. Did you even read what he said?

Any public statements he might make could be nothing more than a plea deal in order to get less time. After he is shed of this whole duty thing he will be screaming to tell it like it is to the highest bidder. For a check with enough zeros on it he will be glad to tell you that you and him think alike and we are both right.

Of course he will need to look at the polls first to find out what people are thinking. Then, for the right price, he will agree with them.

He will come out of this deal with more money than he could ever spend.

I am really surprised that so many right wingers have such a low opinion of Spitzer. After all, he did not do anything Vitter didn't do and the right wing loves Vitter.

Vitter was neither the chief law enforcement officer of his state nor was he the Governor sworw to uphold the laws of the state! Vitter was never forced to resign to avoid prosecution, as Spitzer was.

Vitter also stood for re-election in his state and won by a huge margin, his constituents, the only votes that matter decided his "circumstance" did not warrant his removal, and I suspect he got plenty of love from other than the right wing in LA.

I'll tell you what you want to hear for enough money. Question is whether he will command that kind of money. If he had stood on his principles and gone to jail instead of crying and wanting to serve now that he is in trouble, maybe. And that might appeal to a few on the fringe. The way he is now, you'd have to pay me to go listen to what he has to say.
