You've lost me. Although that really doesn't take much...

...a moment of silence.

Perhaps he got so many infractions for giving infractions for no reason and after that telling me, "if you don't like it find yourself other forum" Very Communism like approach to a free speech.

please, forgive my ignorance....

But why is he the villain here?

Members alert posts, Mods make the tough calls that no one else wants to deal with.

Anyone who gets an infraction is going to be tiffed. Work around it... hate the rules, not the SWAT team.

My first infraction was for equating him to 'Shaft'... he quickly corrected me. It never happened again.

In my case I questioned his way of stamping his "god like" status by writing to me:

"If you don't like my moderation of the forum, find yourself another one."

After I've posted a question, he just deleted my post...is this answer your question?
I never questioned his contribution to the diesel forum, but his function as a moderator was as far away from professional as it could be. He was making a point of not being personal in the forum and after that he will write you a nasty PM....
In a few words I am glad he is gone and by looking some of the responses I am not the only one.

I can understand how you would take that as an offense from someone.

But there was another 'invisible' party involved. That was a fellow forum member who was not happy with your post.

If I was in such a position, and the same members were always being flagged, I might find it a bit challenging to have to deal with on a regular basis.

In addition, an authoritative tone must be used when enforcing law... it cannot be taken personally.

How will you treat such a person once they no longer have reason to address you with such a tone?
