I back you up on the "German Muscle"! Although, the real 'car threads' seem to be located in the Tech Forum.

I have a car related question, I have a 2002 clk 320 and I had to force the passenger door shut the other day because it was freezing and my wife was cold. Now the window seems to be off kilter, WDID?

Hey man, do a research piece and inspire a frenzy of discussion. I for one, would like to hear some quality info about the Audi diesels that have won at LeMans what, once or twice?

I wonder if a Formula 1 size engine, 2.4 L, or maybe even 2.0 would be practical as a diesel powerplant. That's the car I want- a BMW E30 size car with a state of the art 2.4 liter diesel. Or MB similar.

I don't know...never had that issue. Then again, it's rare I have any passengers in my AMG and have been driving it less than 3K miles per year lately.

So where do you go with that 3k mileage plan. Do you have any minutes, I meant mile left on that plan?

Not very far, unfortunately. It's a rare day when I can scrape together a few hours together to get the fluids warm.

This just in: BMW wins best engine of the year award two years running.

http://www.greencarcongress.com/2008/05/bmw-20l-diesel.html

BMW’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel was named Best New Engine of the Year 2008 at the tenth annual International Engine of the Year Awards at Engine Expo in Stuttgart, Germany.

BMW’s 3-liter Twin Turbo gasoline engine was named International Engine of the Year 2008, as it was last year. The judges of the awards noted that the back-to-back win also confirms turbocharging as the power generator of choice.

Daimler Benz . . . ?
