DiesekGiant Giant Ripoff!

Well that site may be helpful to some but be aware that its designed to sell parts that you probably dont need for more that the MSRP! For example I bought "transmission valve levers" on the valve cover that are later discovered to really be just EGR idle and full throttle shut-off valves and have nothing whatsoever to do with the tranny or the way it shifts.... $20 for them from giantrippoff, yet less than $3.00 from the dealer I discovered later. Want to return them.... be prepared to pay for the shipping both ways and pay a $5 charge to put them back on the shelf.
The valve adjusting wrenches.... 2 chinese wrenches with water pipe jammed on the end for $86!!!
Buyer beware... it should have been obvious when the only reviews on his site are from him.
Now I feel like an idiot, spent $220. for basically a set of fluid filters.

The reason for not being able to return the wrenches... "you bought them with other stuff"

As my old granny used to say, once bitten twice shy. Thanks for the heads up. There are people out there that would rip off their granny if thought there was a penny in it.

That is why you should research before buying. He has pics of all that stuff on the website, most modern browsers have a search bar right in the top corner.
You can buy two cans of diesel purge and a used juice bottle from him for about twice the cost of buying the diesel purge and juice bottle yourself- And you don't even get juice out of the deal!
He does provide a valuable service in the videos and how-to articles, but yes his stuff is expensive.

Hi Rick,
Welcome to the forum. Probably this thread would be better in the diesel forum. Your conclusions are not new. If you need parts, best use the buyparts link on this forum. Lee & whunter are great people & can provide many times as much help as you will get at the other place.
It would be good if you could include some details about your car in your signature so that members can better help you with any questions you may have.
Good Luck with your car !!

Never was tempted to look at his site or use diesel purge. I always assumed his site was simply not valuable, it never occurred to me it might be a rip off.

If someone wants to pay $29.50 for a box of "one size fits all" nitrile gloves, then I hope that buyer is enjoying his bliss.

The market usually sorts out that kind of thing.

Never had much use for diesel purge. Every 100K I send the injectors out for cleaning. Too much work for a "definite maybe" as to whether the injectors are cleaned or not.

I am not sure about the bosio nozzles though. After 100K, I had one dirty injector. At 200K they were ok but I changed over to Bosio nozzles for performance reasons. At 300K, 4 out of 6 nozzles were worn and couldn't be cleaned so I replaced them. Not sure I would buy them again.

Interesting - are you going back to Bosch when the time comes then?

Sorry. I dumped the Bosio since they showed so much wear after 100K. The old ones lasted 200K and the Bosios lasted only 100K before being too worn to work.

I don't want to be taken either but a fool and his money are parted. It is what makes the idiots poor. Rightfully so. Education costs money.

No, not always. Dieselgiant is still in operation. There are enough fools to keep him supplied with fresh income when the old fools finally wise up.

Why? They are advertised on the site, clearly pictured, and nothing is keeping you from looking elsewhere before hitting the "buy it" button. If you didn't properly research beforehand, then there is no grounds for a dispute, it's not an option for buyers remorse.

His prices have always been very high!! Many of his "How To's" are alright. Not even close to D. Morrison quality, but just alright.....
