My barber is a guy I've been going to for 25+ years. I don't expect him to pull anything like that on me. It does irritate me that the cut that was $4.50 in 1985 is now $9, but that's inflation for ya.

In the 80's when I was in graduate school, I used to get my haircut at LaVonne's Beauty Academy on Colorado Blvd in Denver. It was very clear that her syllabus covered these kinds of topics. Every haircut I got there, from all the different students, involved a moment in which the stylist nestled the back of my head between her breasts and combed my hair backwards.

Overseas all the hairdressers were Indian, and did neck/scalp massages for extra tip money. Uncomfortable having a dude do that, but after a point you dont care.
