Talking I'm bored!

I have run out of things to do, and I'm bored. I guess I could start drinking, but I'm trying to cut back and I did that last night.

I hate this time of year, between projects, not a lot to do, weather sucks. Maybe I'll go clean some of my guns, I have like 10 that are crying for a good cleaning/oil. I have been shooting them but I haven't taken a brush to anything since September.

If they are all AK-47's it prolly doesn't matter too much if you don't clean them very often..

One thing I would NOT do is start cleaning guns AFTER or WHILE you drink heavily.

Peachparts might have to pay for the flowers out of petty cash.

You know?

They go together great! Lets see whats on my to do list for cleaning:

Ruger 10/22
FN49
Sig556
Springfield 1911
IP M1 Carbine
Browning over under
Mak
Everything else needs a wiping down with some light oil.

The FN49 and the K31 need their stocks going over. Also I need to get bayonets for like everything. I have been neglecting my poor collection!

Easily fix - take a long walk on a short pier.

I cannot find enough hours in one day to finish my to-do list nor the honeydew list.

Do you have a gun vice? My wife bought me a Tipton Best for xmas. It makes cleaning guns, especially long guns, a breeze.

I'm used to blood and mud military weapons, its way to pretty and looks out of place in my safe next to the Mosin 91/30.

OTOH its made in Japan and the quality is AMAZING. It would give the Germans a run for their money in machining tolerances.

No but I need one, some of the bores are tight so I have to hold it while putting the brush down.

I notice the Swiss rifles are essentially target rifles, everything is tight, as is the FN49.

I use worn .30cal brush's on them.

The modern military stuff is cake to clean, Sig556, AR, AK74 any .22 call brush and a rod and your good. Totally different rifles. My 1911 Swiss straight pull is a freaken work of art compared to them. When it was built in 1915 the Swiss knew how to make a rifle.
