I wish I could get one right now. The DS is one of those dream cars I have always wanted since I was a kid. The body lines, the engineering, etc are just beautiful

No doubt he was exaggerating.

I also had a bad attitude about them as the models of the day looked pretty wussy while at rest - I always thought the suspension on them was shot. Also, body rear looked like a retard in diapers.

'Trunes are nice cars but not without their faults. I have some experrience repairing them and to me, it seems the designers went out of their to be different-or perhaps French, not better.

DS19 and DS21

When I was a kid, we owned both DS 19 and DS 21's and that is how I learned basic hydraulics - keeping the suspension systems working.

Work was were pretty strait forward as long as you have worked on a Puegot, and have a shop manual in ENGLISH! After we sold them I was qualified to work on any CAT or JCB in the neighborhood.

Try owning a frogmobile in the deep South in the late 1960's..."we don't work on furrin cars" so that is how I learned what metric tools and hydraulic suspension was all about.

They handled great and could really scoot!

Now the DC was another matter...nothing worse than a frogged out copy of a bug that wnats to be a Trebant.
