Menards Made in the USA sale

http://menards.inserts2online.com/customer_Frame.jsp?drpStoreID=1

I really appreciate how Menards advertises "Made in the USA" sales every month or so. It really is supprising how much we make in this country. As it looks our prices are compettive with anybodys. Anybody think wallmart will start advertising "Made in the USA" sometime soon?

It's not hard people just look at EVERY label for country of origin. You will be very supprised at what little if any price difference you will see

Wallmart has conditioned their shoppers to believe they are the cheapest but my goal is to educate the masses, that is all.

Thank you for reading this.

Trying to promote products MADE IN THE USA is not a pitch. Trying to alert people that we STILL DO MAKE THINGS IS my only goal, YOU GOT IT NOW MAN.

Do you have any side by side specific examples to cite here and now?

So that we may see exactly what product items you're talking about for ourselves?

If there's a china product side by side with a USA/Europe made product, I am generally willing to pay up to 2x more for the non-communist produced goods.

I buy based on quality, not where it was made. Sadly that means most items I buy are not US made.

I can find American made products from local vendors cheaper than I can at walmart.

I've been looking for a US made child booster seat (age 4 and up). So far, no luck.

Britax makes quality infant and convertible seats here, but Britax boosters are Chinese made.

Why should someone work like a dog and make a measly profit on a quality product when they can resell you something from China for 10x the profit?

Don't get me wrong. I have tons of US made stuff. I appreciate good quality. I've never had a problem nor have I replaced any of it.

In one of my industries, people scream for Made in the U.S.A. products, all the while wearing underwear and athletic shoes from Asia/Pacific Rim countries. When you quote domestic pricing 4 to 6 times the import item - they turn quiet.

It's also ironic/funny how most don't think to practice what they preach, right down to their Asian made shorts, socks and shoes.
