I know that Apple sells it's own case for $40. I wonder if this is the same thing.

I bought the Apple case when I ordered ours because A) I knew I needed one for him immediately for protection and B) when I ordered it on Cyber Monday they were offering free shipping on the order and the cover was discounted then, too.

That cover on eBay looks like it's got some more features, namely the three viewing angles (vs. one for the Apple Case) and the magnetic button closure (the apple has none, just like a book cover). It looks like a good cover at a good price with free shipping to boot.

This will be the next case I get for him

I have the original apple case, it's "good enough" for what I need and I don't feel too bad if it gets beat up a little. There are some very nice/expensive cases available, but they are more than I need.

I've never seen this one, but it looks like it will work.

pfft.. its all good. The more publicity for the case the more that sell.
