Tunisia

Any opinions on Tunisia? It seems the concept is spreading to other Islamic/Arab countries. Does this remain secular, or does fanatic religous idealology co op this movement?

So, does Bush's ideal of a free Iraq promote democracy in the Middle East have any validation? There were some protest in Iran a few years ago. Which country is most likely to revolt next, Egypt, Saudia Arabia, Kuwait, other?

Too early to tell, but as for remaining secular, I doubt it.

Egypt is on the brink. Secular maybe (hopefully), but perhaps a muslim revolt. Hopefully, if this actually spreads, these countries dont get rid of one dictator for another.

there was democracy in the middle east, back in 1954. long before george bush. might want to see how that turned out.

as for tunisia, i would assume the worst. new dictators, more religious idiocy.

OK, the 6 degrees of Bush. Start war, oil prices rise, US citizens can pay morgages, default on loans, lending instituions fail, US in recession, World follows with own recession. World recession places more hardship on the masses, they revolt. IE, college student can't get a job, tries to sell fruit and vegtables, is denied, protests by setting self on fire, revolution.
It spreads:

It was Bush and the French who supported Zine El Abidine Ben Ali after 9/11 with billions of dollars; so much for spreading democracy...
