I have a chance to get a rolling chassis of a non-MB car (yes, I know), but the problem is, the people are moving before Feb 1 and I would need to stash it a week or two, then roll down to FL and tow it back.

I am not asking anyone to stash it in their property, unless they had enough where they could do that and I would pay them instead of the storage facility. I need someone to pick it up, which may mean blowing up a tire, or just tow it on a dolly or trailer.

It's an old VW.

Am arranging details with owner now, but am putting this out if anyone is interested.

I can pay you in money, tools, ammo, Michigan dirty snow or whatever.

I just need to find out if this is possible.

You can just leave a message on the forum and let me know.

If not, I'll give up on this for now/.

Thanks to all concerned.

If anyone were coming up this way, i could meet them also and pay their expenses or a portion of trip expenses.

Big state - Pensacola to Key West is about 860 miles. Give us a town name when you can. That will narrow it down as to whom might be able to assist you.

The car is a VW Type 181 (Kubelwagen) that I am plannoing on converting into a more WW2 type car.

Here's the coordinates per the owner:

It's near a local restaurant about 5 miles or so from the actual location.

It's about 1.5 hours away from me.. I saw its a rolling chasis so I can't drive it.. hmmm

I really wish I had something I could tow it with my friend..

too far from me.. my old truck would puke about 1/2 way... call a local tow company. be surprised how cheap their storage is

You are the closest thus far and closer than me by 23 hours. Do you have some way to tow it to a storage location? Since the vehicle is near Ocala, FL, I am researching storage locations there.

I have done the research.

It is 24 miles from Dunnellon FL to Ocala and 13 storage facilities.

I need someone who could rent a trailer if they didn't have one and cart the thing to a yard or an enclosed area, prepay a two-month storage and I'll do the rest.

If you call in advance for the storage and know the amount, I would Paypal it to you or send cash.
