Just seems inconsistent.

Britain

Controversial Fla. pastor not allowed to visit

LONDON - A U.S. pastor who had threatened to burn a Quran on an anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks has been barred from visiting Britain, its government said Wednesday.

Florida Pastor Terry Jones had planned to address a right-wing group, England is Ours, and join it for meetings and demonstrations from Feb. 9 to Feb.16. Stand Up America, a Florida-based group affiliated with Jones, said he was going to speak out against what the group called radical elements of Islam. It said his visit to Britain was to be part of a European tour.

Britain's Home Office said that Jones has been "excluded from the U.K." because the British government opposes extremism in all its forms.

Hmmm, didn't the government go to war a few years ago over a group of ocean-locked rocks, Malvina-Falklands, a few years ago? I suppose that wasn't "extremism"? Let's also not mention the military presence in Northern Ireland.

Not condoning the nut job, just wondering how they make up the rules.

It's a BRITISH thing. You wouldn't understand, m8y.

LETTER FROM THE HEADMASTER.

STAFF CHANGES

Mr Cable has been relieved of his duties as the master in charge of Media Studies. This is because he was overheard in the staffroom toilets being very rude about one of our most respected sponsors, Mr Murdoch. It seems that someone with their “ear to the keyhole” heard him say to a colleague that he wanted to “flush Mr Murdoch down the toilet”.

You can imagine how upset I was when this appeared in the unofficial school magazine “Taking CoAc!”, but that was nothing to the outrage of the school’s public relations director, Mr Coulson, who is a great friend of Mr Murdoch, with whom he used to work, and who is also particularly sensitive about people listening to other people’s private conservations.

I have naturally written Mr Murdoch a personal letter of apology, and I very much hope that Vince will do the same if he is not too busy making a fool of himself on the dance floor!

The northern Ireland thing was civil war. NOthing there that relates to the nutjob preacher in the USA.

The Faulkins were british territory IIRC and Argentina deciede to invade them, so England went down there and whupped some serious Argentine hine, though not before the Argentines sank a British ship with an exocet missle.

The Brits then sank the Argentine battleship (which was an old ww2 us ship we sold them).

I'm gonna go wiki this story.

As long as he comes via boat to Christmas Island from Indonesia.
They drowned about 50 the other day trying to get in here.
The illegal arrivals detention centers are full of muslems. How do you think he would get on in there?
