So much for betting on the underdog.

Ya' never know...he may back the Steelers or Jets...it's a political thing you know...

Besides, where else can you go, be the center of "required" attention, be the talk of the town and screw up everyone elses' day with little side trips for the wifey and kid-lettes?

Don't count your blessings yet...you might get exactly what you didn't wish for!

I thought both teams looked rather anemic.
The Steelers or jets will destroy them.

Naw, not really...I think both teams knew each other so well that this game could have, really, gone the other way.

McCarthy does this all the time...he plays really conservative with well-known opponents. I swear, I think he has stock in antacids. These types of games usually has the viewers' stomaches in knots about the time the 2-Minute-Warning hits during the 4th Quarter.

Then you find yourself standing on a table-top in the middle of a public eaterery, screaming at a television screen with 400 other alcoholically (sp?) induced nut-zoids.

Makes for good memories...as long as everyone around you is rooting for the same team you're losing your voice over.

In my case though, I'm sitting in a transmitter building, about 20 miles away from anything resembling civilization, heated to a pleasant 69°-71° F. temperature, watching the game on an 18" flat-screen HD TV/Monitor, with tiny little speakers built in that are no match for the 5HP coolant pump and 20, or so, air fans whirring away in their little cabinets, snacking on a bag of Chex Mix, sucking some spring-water and screaming at said 18" screen. And typing this stuff between snaps.

We didn't have enough money left over for a Jacuzi. Oh well, I'll flop out in the snow and make a few snow-angels for anyone that cares....NOT! (I've already written my name in the snow...thank goodness my name isn't Myron George Bensonshloshensbürg! (Notice the umlaut? That's done if you don't shake...just place!)

As for SB-XLV? I'm sure whoever wins tonight's contest will be a good opponent for the Packers...

Me? My guess is that the Steelers will be the opponent...but, I'm not making ANY BETS on that game...the Jets just might be full enough of themselves to stir up some good acid for those AFC fans to make TUMS executive very happy tomorrow morning.

Good luck to you AFC Fans!

I doubt that Obama would cause much of a concern in the D/FW area. Reagan used to come there all the time. I always knew when he was in town or even when he was coming to town because the Secret Service always knocked a friend of mine out of his parking place in downtown Dallas.

Bush used to come to Dallas a lot and even lives there now. He also shows up in Austin where he serves as an Usher when he attend church there.

Except for their motorcades you would never know they were there. The place is just too big.

Now when Bush came to his ranch outside of Waco that did screw up the town. Traffic was shut down for miles and the entire city would be tied up.

I wasn't terribly disappointed to see the Jets go down even though I have no love for the Steelers. It should be a bruising SB. I'll be rooting for the Pack. For that, I apologize in advance to GB fans. My jinxing powers are strong.

Don't really care. They did 1 out of 2 things I hoped they would do. Defeat the Eagles but they didn't break Vick's neck so I guess that counts for something. Go Pack, I suppose but I think I will put my money on the Steelers.
