I've been Ebaying cowboy collectibles out of my barn lately. The market ain't what it used to be and the fees have gone thru the roof. Last time I did a cleanout was in 2003, prices now are about a third what they were then. Good luck.

Not to bust your bubble but Antique Shops have one of the lowest profit margins in the retail business.
Shows on TV like "American Pickers" where they buy something for $10 and sell for $30 are dreamers. They enjoy picking and it is entertaining to watch but I highly doubt that they are making money. I support your idea of selling your antiques. Use the money to buy appreciating assets that are easily priced by the market. Just my $0.02
