Cat's eyes are funny. I somehow adopted, or was adopted by, a female who had kittens a couple of months later. A couple of the kittens had the most amazing blue backlight in their eyes with a light shining on them outdoors at night. I should check but IIRC the color changed as they grew older - more towards green I think.
