I actually think it's pretty cool. Not unlike the floating neighborhood around Seattle. I couldn't handle it with the kids, but as an empty-nest/almost empty-nest situation it'd be interesting.

Oh very cool! I'd love to do that trip one day in my own boat, the condo idea is a great way to do it without the hassle.
They were thinking about doing this with a cruise ship too.

Yeah, I'll do the trip in my own boat long before I'd think twice about the Marquette. That is one ugly vessel. Looks like a Mississippi barge with a bunch of single wide trailers stacked on top of each other.
