Question Have any of you canceled your land-line...

and have gone cellular only?

I don't know why I'm having such a tough time cutting the cord. HA! Must be psychological. I can't come up with any real good reason to keep spending money on it yet I still do.

I'm thinking about getting an Xlink BT adapter so that I don't have to carry the cell throughout the house.

Convert Cellphone to Handsets

About the only negatives I've read is that you can't call out till you clear Voice Mails on the cell; and when using touchtone services, you have to press the # key after every number.

I never a personal land line since moving out...its been about 5 years now and I never felt the need to have one. My job provides a work landline for calling into meetings (which I am on all hours of the workday) but being wired to your desk is rather annoying.

I got rid of my landline about six years ago. When we moved into our house about three years back we didn't even bother wih one.

I still have mine, mostly because my wife and daughter can't seem to keep their cell phones charged and/or available. I also still have a fax machine tied to my land line. Mine is through my cable company, so it's cheap.

No land line...I fax through the computer. Haven't had a land line for nearly 4 years.

Two home offices, two conference call lines.

Would like to dump them.

Friends and family call cell numbers...telemarketers and other nuisances call the land lines!

Never bothered to configure the fax capability on the printer. I guess that means I don't really need it!

Land line for local and incoming calls only. About $16 a month. Our cell reception is spotty, otherwise I would have dropped it entirely.

I dumped AT&T about 7 months ago and switched to Ooma (VoIP).
It works great. The cost is approx $3.50/month unless you want the premium features. Premium features are an extra $10/month.

Cellphone isn't an option for me because my home office is in the basement and there's no cell service there.

Bill, keep your Land Line. One of these days those satellites are going to fail. I choose to keep my land line to be safe.
