Best Mercedes commercial.

Came on during the Superbowl. I found it very epic.

Saw this a few days ago. I liked it a lot (The crashed E-Class still working was a nice touch)

VW, the "darth vader kid" and the "new beetle" were entertaining.

I did like the mb commercial. The darth vadar kid was a hoot too.

Is there a new beetle coming out?

What about the Chrysler commercial that was filmed in Detroit? As a native of the area I loved the attitude it showed and thoroughly annoyed everyone else in the room by naming off all the locations shown. Still don't think Chrysler is going to make it, but you gotta love the moxy they show.

A Chrysler Sebring based sedan is just going to suck and is in no way luxurious. The part that bothered me was the dissonance between Chrysler and Detroit's true image and the one they portrayed. Not an eminem fan either.

Also IMO P.Diddy on the MB commercial was completely unnecessary.

According to reviews, its a greatly improved Sebring. I immediately picked out the cheap carry over bits when I saw it at the auto show, and it still can't really compete with Hyundai dollar for dollar. As a convertible tough, it will have a corner on that market.

The Hyundais even the cheap ones, have doors that close like a Mercedes. Just a light touch and, click, they're closed.

I have to say, the Audi ad was the best all day. The VW Dart Vader was a close second.

I actually checked it out this weekend at an auto show too, I wasn't impressed with it. I agree on the Hyundais though, they have really stepped up their quality--not a fan of some of the styling personally but the Equus and Azera are very nice cars

Not an Eminen fan either - probably wouldn't recognize his work if it hit me in the ears. I was thinking what other Detroit area celebs could have been driving the Sebring/200. Alice Cooper - nah, too scary. Kid Rock - maybe. Perhaps they shoulda brought back Lee Iacoccoa!

They showed a w123 in that list.

I was just going to ask whether anyone else caught that!

I thought that was a W115. I won't claim a 617 powered car is vibration free, but with good mounts they aren't that bad

It would also take a lot of work to make the 6 cyl vw motor smoke that much. Perhaps if you cranked the injection pump case pressure up all the way, but then it would likely run away
