pop up camper repair
Might go look at a $300 camper. Owner claims the cables are broken and it is unable to "pop up". Anyone ever replace cables and how hard is it to do?
Thanks, Paul

Older pop-ups can be had fairly cheaply. I would pass on that one and spent a few hundred bucks more for one that functions properly.

I did the cables on my Coleman some years ago. It was TEDIOUS, but not particularly difficult, although time has times the memory..
Go online and check out replacement canvas--I also replaced all the canvas on mine and it was reasonable. With new cables, and new canvas, and a good check of the tires and wheel bearings, it would be almost new. Depends whether time of money is your more critical resource.

Seeing is believing. Without seeing it in person, you know nothing certain about it.
