I saw that in the news as well. Looks like the list of countries with pissed off citizens is growing by the day.
You can't keep beating on people and expect them to tolerate indefinitely. At some time, they will turn and bite.

Libya is a weird place. When they finally made nice with the US a few years ago Quadiffie's son was not speaking of the end of US sanctions. He spoke of the end of the war with the US.
If they had paid more attention to their source of wealth, their oil wells, and less to being the strongman of the Arab world, they could have really amounted to something. Momar also blew billions on the 'Man Made River' project that finally everyone gave up on. You would need to Google this for further details. We are seeing the proof of an old diplomatic saying: Everyone loves a Dictator until the last ten minutes.
