time for the SEALS to go hunting again. I think maybe a body count of 200 is about fair for the 4 Americans. Better yet, AC-130 attack on where they live.

Very sad to see innocent lives taken by these pieces of *****. I'd like to see open season on them.

OTOH, it's akin to going for a leisurely hike along the Iraq-Iran border. Except that hike would probably be safer.

Line the ones the caught up against the rail and execute them, than fly over the port they were heading too and let the navy do some bombing excesses for a couple of days.

Pirates are entitled to a fast trial followed by a speedy execution. None of this US court BS, the taxpayers don't need to take care of these animals. They are not even worth feeding the Navy better not give them a scrap of food.

Or we can do what the Russians did and put them on a small boat hundreds of miles out at see with no water or food and let nature kill them for us. That's not a bad solution. Although the Russians are not patient and just blew it up instead.

Reading between the lines, it looks like the hostages were killed during a failed attempt to rescue them or am I missing something?

Possible, either way they had to attempt to rescue them, once they are on land its 50/50 at best if they get out again.

"Two pirates died during the confrontation and 13 were captured and detained, the U.S. Central Command said in a statement from Tampa, Fla. "

Like Hattie said, line them up against the rail and shoot them after a perfunctory Captain's mast. Rid the world of these scum.

No "trial" first.

String them all up.

It is the ONLy language they understand.

A couple of things.

What motivates some morons to go to that neck of the woods? A soldier dying, I can understand. He/She was ordered there and was doing his duty. Of all the places to sail to, why there? Aren't you begging for trouble? Just like the idiot hikers that insisted on going next to the Iranian border. Yes, I know, you have the right to go where you want but why deliberately stick your head into the lion's mouth?

Stringing these jokers up isn't going to work. The area is huge. All the next guy will think is "If I can be a little more careful and work faster, I think I can avoid detection.". Why do people rob banks and what not even when some get caught? Find their point of origin and raze it to the ground and leave a few survivors. That is what Genghis Khan did. Those survivors spread the word.

From what I understand, the solution to the problem may be to kill African pirates, however there's no shortage of them willing to risk their lives for the approximate $60 per month they get. As in most operations, it's the "big fish" that get the millions in ransom, aided by the inside information from shipping company employees. The ring of pirate employers extends around the world, including North America and Europe.
