It's Saturday. I'm going to wait until Monday to go to work.

(Not to say that I won't get some work done here in the meanwhile. Sometimes, I can't help myself.)

Unless you are a state employee, why in the world would you go down and support those overpaid morons that are living the dream. Twenty years on the job for some of them, (it does vary), then they can get better then 90% of their wage at a set retirement age, but immediately they can barge in and get another job, even become an outside contractor for the job they left. Such a deal!! And you are stupid enough to help them!

Stupid? No, stupidity is not being able to even conceive that there might be another valid view.

Sure, they might get pension and I do not. I'll take comfort in the fact that today, my paycheck is more than double what a tenured teacher gets. I can save for my own retirement.

When you're working for the government, it means that your job and job conditions may be affected by the mere whims of any future incoming administration. Thus, unless you're actually stupid, you take steps to prevent it.

O by the way,

If you need work,

The Kotch brothers are hiring

for their new power plant in Wisconsin.

Seams there is more to the story than just busting the teachers union.

Just wait till you read the bill, that was passed at 1 in the morning.

Anybody else remember when people used to protest FOR higher wages, healthcare, pensions? As the UNIONS have disappeared along with those benefits NOW the people protest AGAINST ANYONE having those benefits.

They seem to be saying "I settled for less so YOU have to too"

Corporate America has to be laughing at the general public protesting to pull everybody DOWN to their level.

Remember what Rush says; If your making $25hr plus benefits your ruining America and are not patriotic.

However if your making $8hr with NO benefits your a TRUE PATRIOT.

I don't listen to Rush. I have, long ago, tried to read the transcript on his web site, but reading a written transcript of a rambling fool sure is painful. He must make a more convincing case when listening in real time.

But did he really say that? I find that hard to believe, even for him.

That's guaranteed, he never said that! Anyone who thinks Rush is a "rambling fool" has never listened to him. Look, I have no argument with the Union so long as it stays in the area of profit making corporations. But when the State Government Employees can strike for wages and benefits, there is no end to what they will try to get. It has go to end sooner or later, might as well be now. Federal Employee's union can't make demands for wages or benefits, even so I think most of them are over paid also. I just hope the Wisconsin Governor hands out so many pink slips that the employees go nuts. They went nuts in 1959 when this Union BS was pushed through. I remember it well, as we were living and working in Milwaukee at the time.

If not it didn’t happen – the revolution will indeed not be televised.

Obviously what you think and what’s reality are two different things.

I was a state employee for many years. Taking a private sector job was the only way for me to realize a pay increase. To have unions, collective bargaining rights, and benefits is the only way for state governments to attract and retain qualified employees who perform important tasks citizens of states depend on.

You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.
