My younger daughter, who is Patty to my older daughter AKA Cathy, if you watched the Patty Duke show, had me watch the acceptance speeches.

Are these people like the characters portray in the movies or like the blabbering idiots that they appear to be during the awards ceremony?

It seems to me that the latter is correct.

Why should we listen to any of them when they appear before Congress as experts on any topic?

I watched it because it was on TV and the wife and her cute friend was watching it and I was hoping to catch a glimpse of boobies.

I'm gay so I'm obligated to watch. Was really disappointed in Melissa Leo's behavior. She should be banned from the Oscars for life.

Thank my good fortune to NOT be born gay.

I think I am going to change my stand on gay people. If we outlawed gay people, we might be able to get rid of the Oscars which will serve mankind so much more. Guess we might have to ask gay people to "take one for the team".

There's always something for the straights to get into. Anne Hathaway was beautiful in everyone she wore last night.

I wonder if capitalistic economics work in that venue. I mean if we all just said "no" to watching the stupid awards shows, wouldn't the sponsors stop sponsoring?

I will watch the entertainment industry pat itself on the back with its awards show when they have an awards shows that spotlights and awards Consulting Engineers and their inspectors/ technicians.

I don't know if I made it that far. Wife's friend was laying on the floor doing her work while watching and I was ogling her boobs so I might have missed that. I'd probably be hanging from the rafters if I had to pay attention to that drivel.

Yes but getting a consensus is going to be difficult.

I would love for those shows to go away.

lol...well, technically, once a hag always a hag I suppose.

She just has much less time to devote with the advent of getting married and being a mother twice. Just a different point in life now, that's all.

FWIW, she is just as dedicated to all our friends, just less time nowadays. At one point in time, she was the "go to" hag of choice - I think it's because she drove a VW cabrio....but I digress....
