This thread will probably get deleted based on some previous goings on.

We appear to have a practice in this forum of when you dont like what some one is posting but its not enough to get them into trouble, you can go searching through their old posts & see if you can find a few things that you can complain about. You could even keep a record of a few questionable posts ready in case you need them! This sort of practice has been identified in the past.

Even if its a 10 day old post, pages back in a thread, that no one has previously commented on, its good enough to get action from a mod.
Is this sort of moderating appropriate?

I note that mention is made in a post recently that a mod can not infract another mod. Not that its going to happen anyway! Solidarity is to be expected in any organizational structure.

I think its a good time to start a discussion on levels of moderating.

Is a joke that is told at a Rotary or Lodge meeting late one night without any issue some how beneath the standards of this forum? Maybe some feel that they are some how on some higher level than such organizations. My opinion is that there are some people on here that would never get accepted as a member of either of those fine organizations. Yes they have standards.

If one member (and a few of his friends after prompting) choose to be offended by a post, it appears to be enough to get action. To my many friends on here who contact me by PM, through other forums or by email, should we start to lower our self to playing this sort of childish game? Others appear to.

By past goings on it appears to be ok for a mod to accuse a member of being racist. Let a member try that & its a different story.

It will be interesting to see if any one is game to comment.

I notice the thread in the feedback forum about moderation has vanished from there. Nothing like a bit of selective inclusion ?

If I took this forum seriously, I would end up as crazy as some others claim to be!!
Its not me continually running off trying to get others a slap on the wrist!!
I have even posted that I dont have a problem with others calling me names on here as long as they live by the same rules.

a man with four infractions starts a thread complaining about "crybabies", lamenting his predicament, and playing the injured innocent? surely others are at fault. not you, of course. we must take up this issue with the world court.

Too many are missing the point. 10 days after a post & some one is trolling back through old posts to find it. In the joke thread !! There have probably been a dozen jokes posted since.

A threads just vanishing from the feedback forum. & if I am wrong, I would have thought that some one would have been posting a link to it to prove the point.
