we looked at the Jetta, bought a Cruze instead. I was looking for a used new beetle a few years ago, I looked at 5 TDI bugs, every interior touch point was broken, handles, switches, everything, on all 5. Left a suspicious feeling I could not shake with the Jetta and it had issues similar to the reviewer noticed. The Cruze has been very nice although the ride is quite different than my MB, its my wifes car and by all accounts she is very happy, so I am happy
