Apparently the ion engine can take the spacecraft up to 200,000 mph. Imagine going to the moon and back in just three days! We probably won't get to ride in an ion propelled spacecraft anytime soon but who knows, maybe our grandchildren or great grandchildren? How I would love to be there when that day comes.
