What could the long-term implications be?

I suspect it will have no bearing on the stock.

Ops...I hope it will not turn up to be another "Madoff" outcome.....
I am sure the in house Buffet expert will chime soon with his "deep" inside knowledge.....

Warren's been a figurehead for years. Time for B-H stock to settle to its true value...

I did not see that article Doc. That could throw a wrench in his plans. Now I see where he is going to start his own financial company.

Check with SRJ

He has inside scoop.

They all front-run a stock, fund managers, M&A manager etc. We are the little guys, by the time you read the news, it is 'old' news.

Not really - I have no real evidence that he holds any stock in this company. It's very possible that he does not.

There can't be anything problematic in this story. Buffett is the wizard. Nuff said.

In their day, Madoff was wizard, as was Ponzi. But I shouldn't bring social security into this.

Not to mention that he (Sokol) just happen to own shares in Lubrizoil and he recommended the buy of the company to Buffett for the pocket change of $9 billion

"In recent weeks there had been some speculation about Mr Sokol's role in Berkshire's move to buy Lubrizol, a specialty chemicals company, for $9bn. Mr Sokol had traded in and out of Lubrizol stock before recommending the company to Mr Buffett." CNN

And to make it even more interesting Buffett immediately was forced to issue statement denying any wrongdoing.....

"Mr Buffett defended those moves, noting that Mr Sokol's purchases were made before he had raised the idea of buying Lubrizol and underscoring that "neither Dave nor I feel his Lubrizol purchases were in any way unlawful". CNN
