HOA Proposed Ban on Kids Playing Outside

The HOA board said the proposed rule, which will carry a $100 fine for every violation, is all about safety.

FL is full of old people, most of the other residents are probably AARP members and don't want to see anyone under 30 living around them.

West of Phoenix is Sun City, one of the nation's first "senior planned community" . . . they nearly brought out the pitchforks and torches when a kid's preschool tried to open in a strip mall in their midsts.

Sounds like the HOA decided they weren't making enough money off the residents as it is.

Wait a few years until the residents kick the bucket. Then, when the few of them that did something good in their life get to heaven, they find the place overrun with kids climbing, playing, frolicking all over the grounds. You know, all the kids that never lived to be adults. The ones who disease, birth defects, accidents, or worse took before they could have a full childhood doing those things here on earth. Then they can decide if they want to stay somewhere with kids, or join all their friends in the other place. Me, if I'm lucky enough to get to heaven, you'll probably see me somewhere in a grove of trees putting up tire swings for the kids.

I have been "behind the fence" at Aberdeen Proving Grounds on several occasions. They use very effective approaches:
1) " Visitors are warned of the presence of unexploded ordnance" Works well for "Keep off the grass"

2) Before they disposed of the Mustard gas stockpiles, the fence around them had this warning, " The Base Commander has approved Lethal Force for Trespassers" . Again, a rather simple, and straight forward way to say, "Please do not climb on the fence"

If that were real life, the Hmong gang would have skinned the old man alive. They are merciless.

Depends where in FLorida you live. Boca forget it lol. All older people. The Venice/Sarasota area where we are is not too too bad but 15 miles south of us in Englewood Florida its a old old fishermen village and its all old money. Lincoln, Cadlillac, Elks and moose clubs are every corner along with shuffle board courts.

I'm pretty sure he would have killed those three lined up with a 30-06 before they got to far.

FMJ .30-06 penetrates a lot at point blank range.

Interesting fact. John Q Public is smacked around by the gangs because he believes the system will take care of him when in reality, the system could care less about his gang related problems. Eliminating the gang problem means John Q Public has to do something a bit more overpowering than yelling, "Get off my lawn" while holding a rifle. These punks only understand one thing and that is over whelming force in numbers. And since the neighbors don't want to get involved in John Q's troubles, that means John Q is at the gang's mercy.

So, what does John Q do? He dials 911 and prays......a lot.

The system is working.

For a few years I lived in a very large older home with a vast front porch. It was on a corner lot, had a porch swing and was one block from a Middle school.

I told my co-workers I finally had a place that was perfect for yelling at kids.

But I also had sidewalks, and those danged kids used 'em!

Somehow it just did not seem right to be yelling at them to get ON my lawn.

By the way, one of my co-workers pointed out that there was no need to be retired to yell at kids. You can act crazy at any age.
