Seems very interesting. I know I've played with Neodymium magnets out of hard drives and they are extremely strong!! Steep investment though...

Interesting. I don't see though where you'd put it on a 240D. Outside the cannister? Is the cannister even magnetic? No room inside it....
Guess it might work with exposed filters.

I used to service a customers FIAT. It had a centrifugal oil filter built into the crank damper IIRC...it WAS 40 something years ago!
I do remember it took a hammer and screwdriver to dig out the accumulated sludge. I always thought that was a great way to filter oil. |
