Trash

I have worked hard to get where I am. Upscale neighborhood with Professionals. Doctors, Lawyers etc. unfortunately some turd that has worked at Ford for a few years saved enough to by in. Now the Commoner thinks his drive is a playground for his kids. Parks a camper in the drive (a no-no via HOA rules) and cuts the grass at Saturday night when I'm trying to enjoy the back yard.

I swear uneducated asswipes need to live together in a trailer park where they belong.

Well he was smart enough to save money to encroach on your little piece of heaven wasn't he? Before long you will be complaining about him com ing to borrow some Grey Poupon:D

I know I sound pompous but I don't like the fool. If mustard keeps him away I'll give him a bucket full.;)

Geez, sounds pretty rough, camper in the driveway. Next thing you know he'll have an 80's MB diesel dropping oil on the driveway.

Yes you do.

Move to a more expensive area. If there is a HOA why are they not enforcing the rules? In my experience HOA's are more eager than the Gestapo to enforce rules.

I understand what your saying though every street has one. At the beginning of the subdivision I'm doing there is a POS house with a smashed up 300E in the driveway, POS cheap cars everywhere, and kids toys littering the yard. Its like WTF.

You beat me to it.

I wouldn't live anywhere with a HOA.

Just keep complaining to the HOA until he follows the rules. My HOA would probably send a SWAT Team if it was my neighborhood. Maybe he will decide to live elsewhere.

Hell...when I make it in your area for a visit, your neighborhood won't ever be the same! LMAO I'll have y'all line dancing and whooping and howling at the moon within a few hours. :D

On a serious note, though, get the HOA involved and get it handled ASAP, before more crap starts to happen and brings the value down.

I've lived in gated communities in the past, as well as amongst trailer dwelling nincompoops that have multiple fingers and married their sister. If you don't want that type of people in your neighborhood, do something about it...let them know the rules.

Not really...he's worked hard to live in a certain neighborhood with certain rules and style. You have to be a conformist to be able to live there, and this new neighbor isn't.

25 years ago I turned the backyard of my home into an impromtu 'bowl' for riding my motorcycle. The fence that was surrounding my backyard was 6' tall and non-see through. One occasion I was out in the neighborhood walking on foot, when an older fellow neighbor (5) houses down and I engaged in neighborly visiting. He asked me; "if I had noticed the new neighbor up the street that rode his motorcycle about in the backyard?" I told him; "yeah, I'm the motorcycle rider that bought the home." He was speechless.

I would opt for the country, with 5+ acres were I as bothered as you seem to be, friend. Unless, you are already on 5+ acre lots - which I doubt, from you're being in an HOA neighborhood - which I would never be in in the first place.

Personally - I would get 25 to 50 acres minimum if someone "uneducated" that worked at FOMOCO were to freak me out and got in my head as bad he's in yours! lol

As far as the RV in the drive? My home has had one or another of the many diesel coaches in it's driveway for most of the years I've lived in this home - that's not about to change anytime soon. I love my 'trailer park!' Ha-ha!

As far as your new neighbor being a lowly Ford worker - I think you are going to need to provide further clarification about him? But I caution you - he may earn more money annually, have a greater net worth than you, or both! In America - education means jack squat to many of us who have made out just fine without it! We can spell too, unlike some! :D ;)

I may move my enclave/man cave if they give me grief. The city has an "esthetics inspector" who talks to people when they paint, so that all the colors in the neighborhood look bland and earth-toned and weather-worn.

If he stops me from repainting my garage white because it''s not earth tone, I'm going to City Council and telling them that I have decided to move my proposed manufacturing factory out of town, because I don't want employees hassled. But only if they give me grief about the fact that I have a clean white garage with a bit of green on the trim, matching the lawn.

HOAs suck... Small minded, facist leaning sheeple who want everyone to look alike in their attempt to be different. Pompus, new rich BS. I'd never live in one. (yes, I have the means)

Craig 04-10-2011 09:43 AM

That's a valid choice, but it is a problem when the beverly hillbillies decide to move into my neighborhood and ignore the rules. We have one of those houses too. These folks have been trying to sell for several months, I wish them luck. The sooner they leave with take their obnoxious kids and old pickup truck, the happier everyone will be.

Txjake 04-10-2011 09:50 AM

"old pickup truck" The horrors.....
