New parts look used

This body mount is for a w115, I was looking over the parts I got and there are 2 cracks in the body mount.
How about all the scuff marks on the inside do yall think this is from the casting, I think that is the correct word, or do you think the parts were already installed and removed?
I sent an e-mail to the place I got the parts from.
Nothing back just yet.

It looks like poor handling + a bad casting.

KO Performance the part has FEBI GERMANY on the part.
The price was good $55.00, and that was the only place I could find LEMFOERDER ball joints.

I got an RMA#

Still nothing from KO
Next time call Phil first.
We have the ball joints in stock.

FYI:
TRW, FEBI, LEMFOERDER, and Moog are basically the same quality/durability on ball joints.

That wasn't used or installed...it's a bad part that made it through the process somehow. They don't inspect each and eery part, as that would be way to expensive to do. They inspect a number of parts from each batch run.

This appears to be a part that slipped through the cracks.

Good to see a little parts discussion sneaking into OD !!
There would be several flaming the OP for not getting the part from fastlane by now if this was in DD !!

Maybe not call Phil first !! Make sure you call him last !! Thats when you order the part. Do your price checking and all that sort of stuff first & when you are genuinely after the part, make the call !!!!

I have to agree with WHunter. Looks poorly made and poorly handled. The casting crack alone would cause me to send it back. I mean, how poorly would something have to be made to just crack like that? I am guessing it was dropped somewhere along the line and that caused the crack.

And.... I always check Fastlane. They really are a good place to deal with.
