Angry parts bin ??

thought I would inform members about a recent bad transaction. I buy a good many parts from peach parts due to this forum, sometimes I buy elsewhere, such was the case with a recent attempt at a purchase from the parts bin.on line I ordered a pair of hatch struts for the 300td,I had givin my daughter.a few days later I get a email telling me that they do not have the parts, and to call them.I replyed that I had no need to talk to them just return my money.I get a notice later that they had refunded my money to pay pal, I checked and saw that they had not refunded the shipping and handling about twelve dollars, remember now that they did not have the parts, there was no shipping and handling done. I got no reply to a couple of emails, then i told them that I was going to file a dispute with pay pal.the next day my money was refunded. no apology, this is no was to conduct a bussiness. mike

I've been screwed a number of times by people through paypal & in every case paypal did not help.

Because of that I only use my credit card as a funding source with paypal. If somebody trys to screw me I don't even waste my time with paypal. I call the credit card company and every time they have returned my money.

As a rule I always try to buy parts that I can pickup and see myself and settle with a cash transaction.

Sad but true...

We've probably all had a similar tale to tell. In my case, it was with a Rusty fella in Georgia. Happened one time, now I let Fastlane Phil take care of me--never so much as a hint of a problem with PeachParts. Thanks Phil.

Allways wise to fund paypal with a credit card. Paypal will not like you if they take a hit from it. Normally they do not seem to mind if you do though.

Without the card backing if there are no funds in the sellers account to reclaim I believe you will lose. To spur paypal to extra effort to recover from a source. I have mentioned that if my claim is not workable I will use my card source. Seems to work better as paypal understands if they are then not succesful they have to pay me.

It really pisses them off and may end your paypal account though.
