I see the moderator of this is listed as -
suginami. I don't recognize the name nor recall see any of his posts.

The prior posts had a couple of banned members. Two questions-

1. Were they prior moderators here and was being banned required to moderate the forum?

2. If someone's banned how can they still participate?

I am sorry but your questions don't make any sense. If someone is banned they don't have ability to post over the period of their punishment. If you look of the post from SRJ, this is the time he was banned, so the red card on the bottom right corner. he was seating on 4 infraction and his last post becoming number 5 is automatic ban. However the posts they have made still on the system.

Continuing to speak in a polite and civil manner (hint) I refer to posts # 2 & 4 of this thread. Both people have the words banned underneath their names. I do not know what that means and so I ask question number 2.

Given the "light-hearted" tone of this thread I made a small joke and, "tongue-in-cheek" said, "maybe you need to be banned to be the moderator of Open Discussion.

Suginami may well have posted 7,000 times, that's great, in the 2+ years that I have been on the diesel forum and the 2 weeks that I have been on this forum I do not recall ever seeing his name.

No big deal, simple comment, trying to learn the "lay of the land." Just trying to have a nice day and enjoy each others company.

You can change the "title" under your username in the control panel. Mine could be "Transvestite Hooker" if I wanted it to be.

So glad this isn't my problem anymore, they replaced me with three people.:D
