Great company I have a feeling they are going to do to Walmart what Netflix did to Blockbuster.

Yup, they actually "get it," one of the first places I look when I need to buy something. As more people become comfortable shopping online, they will continue to grow.

Don't blame Amazon. They were made a scapegoat for the online vendor sales tax issue, which is why the Amazon tax thing was put on hold (at least in Colorado). The government needs to establish online tax rules that globally affect everyone, or better yet, just let individual states decide

Didn't Amazon just break their associations with all businesses located in IL, just so they wouldn't have to collect IL taxes? I'll have to see if I can find a link.

States are allowed to collect taxes on internet or catalog purchases. IL is one that has since the fifties.

I'd like to substantially reduce all government taxes. The beast has grown much too large.

Sure, that's a laudable goal. But I don't feel like being a tax evader, so I pay the tax that is due.

I'd prefer that the merchant collect and pay it for me, like happens in local transactions. It's the same cost to me, but easier.

You will always have people who shop at Walmart. Look at Red Box. Every one i have been around always has someone waiting. You would think they would download, but these are low income people and thats all they have. Ditto Wally World.
