The end of times near---ish

The Old Howard Camping guy from California changing the date to Oct 21 ,the one on May 21 was spiritiual not physical .Ive got to hand it to him ,his really thought this out .At 89 years old i think his own end of days is near.

He always mentioned the Oct. 21st date.

According to Camping, the rapture was to occur on May 21st followed by 5 months of bloodshed and suffering, at which time on Oct. 21, God would wave his hand and bring about global anihillation.

So basically, he is now saying that the rapture is not going to occur, just the elimination of all mankind? Kinda flies in the face of what the bible teaches.

His legitimacy was already in question...just digging a deeper hole.

bonehead, if there was ANY reason to listen to him before the idiocy certainly should not be compounded by listening again........ Im sure he still has a huge following, theres just no explaining some people.

Yea, maybe he was right, rapture did take place, but since there was nobody worthy of it we did not notice it.

I am not convinced he has all that large a following. Since his Family Radio network is fully funded by bequests, he doesn't need listeners, or advertisers.

At one time, he was a solid Bible teacher. Now he is shown to be a false prophet. He should shut up, and be quiet.

LOL, now you know how I feel about all the "legitimate" evangelists (of all religions).

He has a right to make a fool of himself and his followers, and we have the right to ignore or ridicule him.

Christ will return. God has appointed a day when He will judge. There are signs of that Day coming close, but what does " close" mean?Generally, it means that there are no other things that have to happen first; IOW, its the next thing on the calendar. I can't tell you the date, and neither can he. His prophecy of Oct is the same as his prophecy for May. If he keeps setting dates, one day he might be right ( by chance).

Great, the first deadline was right after I paid my tax estimates and filed an extension, now the new date is right after the due date to file the returns. He couldn't make the world end one week sooner?
