Have you ever google mapped your residence ? Eye in the sky.

yeah, I use the sat view of my place. They seem to have shot my place between Aug. and Sept. last year. I can tell, by where I had mowed and what was in the driveway.

yup, about 2 years. I can tell from the deck umbrella color and what cars are in the driveway.
They also have a street level picture, as if someone was in front of my house had taken the picture. That is also few years old.

My sat view is pretty old, probably 4-5 years, my street view seems to be about 2 years old.

My street view is about 3 years old and the satellite must be about 4 years old but it is of a really poor resolution so it is difficult to tell for sure

The satellite photos tend to be old and of decent resolution. It's the arial photos that can be scary with their clarity.

On the street view you used to be able to see my mother working in the front yard. It was blurry, but if you knew her you could make it out.

It's amazing how clear (some of) the pics we civilians are allowed to see are, I can only imagine what the military can see and in real time.

I'm thinking the pics in our 'hood are at least 3 years old since the driveway at my house hasn't been repaved yet. The clandestine poverty pool in the backyard really stands out. Can see all of the kids' stuff, too. Fortunately the trees cover most of it.

There aren't any vents in the roof of our building for the new furnaces and the rear corrugated roof hasn't been painted yet (the mottled black and silver at the right) so I'm guessing '08.

I'm guessing it was taken on a Sunday afternoon since there aren't any cars in the lot (the church next door uses it on Sundays) and as crappy as the front lawn looks it must have been in the summer after the lawn went dormant from lack of water.
