Our Southern Border is Secure......

Right.........

At least this is a start. Time we let the federal troops take care of our souhern border security. Drug runners, you want to start a fight with the 101st Airborne Division? That would be fun to watch, for the short period of time it lasted. And, I am sorry to say, if you indulge in drugs that come across the border, you are part of the problem.....

"forcing the U.S. officers to return fire and injuring at least three of the suspects on the other side of the border."

I've been saying this for several years. It also sounds like a good ADT opportunity for me.

I watch the border patrol videos on tv and their (The US BP) mission is insanely difficult especially with the piles of red tape between the two countries. One thing that pissed me off the most is our current and past administration uses kid gloves on the Mexican Government. You can put the drug and illegal alien issues aside and we still have to deal with Mexican organized crime who makes the MOB look like a cub scout troop.

I had the pleasure of kicking it up with one of our past forum members who is a USBT and boy does he have his hands full. He's a damn good shot as well!

There was a reality show about the border patrol not to long ago, it looks like a brutal job.

They won't go for a walk without carrying an M4, its a pretty hot area.

Back 100 years ago when we had balls we would simply use the military to solve the problem, and not cry about a few broken eggs in the process.

The statute prohibits Army and Air Force personnel and units of the National Guard under federal authority from acting in a law enforcement capacity within the United States, except where expressly authorized by the Constitution or Congress.
So Congress can authorize use of the Army to secure the border. Wait, it gets even better.

The Navy and Marine Corps are prohibited by a Department of Defense directive, not by the Act itself.[1][2] The Coast Guard, under the Department of Homeland Security, is exempt from the Act.
In other words, there's nothing to stop Barry from sending all of I MEF to secure the border. I'm thinking that would be fun.

fun? not sure about that.

ineffective and futile and a further expansion of the police state? most definitely.

as long as mexico remains a lawless state, with few economic opportunities (unless you count drug dealing) there will always be migration to "el norte".
now, we could look into how mexico has been sold out to corrupt interntional corporations by its own local born "judases"... but isn't it more fun to talk tough, engage in manly martial fantasy talk, and ignore the realities of the situation?

Exactly. All we need is more firepower and macho dudes with big scary guns. That'll solve the problem all right.

I don't think the PC Act would apply, as it would not technically be law enforcement work, if the interdiction would be called under a national emergency. BTW: read closely, I am not saying we turn the military loose on illegal immigrants, but have them go after the narco-terrorists.

Every time we build a 10 foot fence they will keep coming with another 11 foot ladder.

We REALLY need to do somehing about all this illegal immigration.

But first, I need to get the roof on my house repaired.
