King James Answers His Critics

"At the end of the day, all the people rooting for me to fail, they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life they had before they woke up today" Lebron James

DeShawn Stevenson's favorite new shirt.

The reference combines Dirk Nowitzki's name with Shaquille O'Neal's legendary rip of former teammate Kobe Bryant after O'Neal's 2006 title with Miami. Also on the shirt -- a logo for HDNet, the cable station owned by Dallas owner Mark Cuban.

Ohio Governor Piles On . . . Mavericks are Honorary Ohioans

John Kasich, Governor of the state of Ohio, took the unusual step of honoring a team with no geographical ties to his jurisdiction. On Monday, one day after the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Miami Heat in the 2011 NBA Finals, Kasich's office released a press release noting that the governor had issued a resolution that declared that the Mavericks, their friends, family and fans are now officially "Honorary Ohioans."

Interesting move on his part. After they showered him with abuse. As if he's not that worried about what people say.

He's more and more a class act. Seems he's flopping less and less though not sure about that.

What's the difference between LeBron James and God?

God doesn't walk around Miami thinking he's LeBron James.

I'm not a sports fan but I heard this guy was making a million bucks a year straight out of high school. If that is right he has my respect. A million bucks might have killed 18 year old me.

^ This. People have put him on a huge pedestal since he was, I dunno, 15 or 16. I saw Clevelanders on TV after his announced return looking like they'd won the lottery and the love-interest of their dreams in the last hour. Considering all the buzz, dude is remarkably level headed. And his work ethic on the court is pretty solid.
