Funny 80's insurance ad

It's odd, a little disturbing but still funny http://www.wimp.com/worstcommercial/

Second worst commercial ever. The worst was the one for (I think) Quiznos with the singing rats.

Wow that is really bad, I mean not just bad, but really really bad on so many levels.

**** i've made better commercials then that in my spare time. Was it that bad on purpose perhaps?

Remember the old saying - "there's no such thing as bad publicity".

I'm guessing your question would be answered in the affirmative. Nearly 30 years later, people are still talking about how bad it is.

I guess there's two schools of thought in advertising to get a company noticed - either make an ad that's truly memorable, such as Apple's legendary Superbowl ad - or make one that blows chunks so bad it becomes a cult classic for it's sheer mediocrity (ie, the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" phenomenon).
