Does rum make you sail better?

I have come to the conclusion that my sailing performance increases if I drink enough rum the night before. Not only me but other sailors I know have noticed this!

So has anyone else noticed this? It has to be rum, if its vodka I'm slow as mud, but give me half a bottle of Sailor Jerry's and I'm around the course like lightning.

In heavy seas/wind you have to bring the crew back or the boat has a tendency or porpoise and could stuff the bow and literally sail itself under.

I use to think I fought better in my karate tournaments (kumate) if I smoke a little 'wacky weed' before hand.

Worked well for a bit until Larry Johnson 'cleaned my clock.'

PS - That was back when Nixon was in office so those daze are long behind me.

I did a search for "Young Frankenstein" and found that pose, which I believe is in the gross anatomy lecture room from the beginning of the movie.

This is a funny cheerleading exercise. You pay with your money and your health and your time. Sucker play. It affects the circle of people around you and many will exclude you socially. I believe that is when the student questions him about his Grandfather's work, and he, defensively shouts, " My Grandfathers work was doo doo" as he plunges the scalpel deeply into his thigh for emphasis.
